A Mini A Month: February 2019

Triangles again!

But this little quilt was meticulously paper-pieced so that I could line up the rightmost sides of the four figures—three right triangles and one isosceles triangle—along a diagonal, while keeping their bottom sides parallel.

Why this design?

I thought the off-center diagonal would bring a subtle liveliness to the quilt. To catch the eye even more, I chose four vibrant turquoise/teal colors. They stand out nicely against muted yet varied wine-colored bands.

The quilting is basic … except for a little pizzazz in the colorful triangles.
