Travers Van Deusen

Travers Van Deusen, 20-1/4″ x 61″

This quilt is named for the two deeply saturated colors—an 18th century red and a historic blue—that my sister-in-law painted on two walls in her home. After seeing a picture of my overflowing scrap bags, she asked for a sideboard runner using her wall colors and any other deep, jewel-toned scraps I happened to have.

The result is bigger than 1200 square inches … yet my scrap bags are still overflowing!
