Why? Because quilts with a consistent, all-over pattern aren’t really me. And I didn’t want my work to look like hers.
But I did like her construction technique and the curvy opportunities her ruler made possible. So I shuffled up the component parts, reassembled them and came up with a quilt that honors Karla’s techniques in my own composition.
This quilt has been juried into the 2016 New Quilts of Northern California exhibit, at the Pacific International Quilt Festival held from October 13–16, 2016, in Santa Clara, CA.
